All teenager Carter Wilkerson wanted was free Wendy's chicken nuggets for life - and that's exactly what he got after an incredibly successful Twitter campaign, which launched his tweet into the stratosphere of popularity as the most retweeted of all time.
And even though Wilkerson didn't quite hit the 18 million mark, Wendy's made a decision to go ahead and give him the free nuggets for a year.
Wilkerson is pictured in the tweet holding a stack of gift cards, which is presumably enough to provide him with chicken nuggets for the rest of 2017 and the first few months of 2018.
He was rewarded for his efforts anyway.
In addition to the year-long nuggfest, Wendy's has also donated $100,000 in Wilkerson's name to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.
The tweet very quickly become the most retweeted in history, but now the torch has been passed.More news: Swansea beats Everton 1-0, out of EPL relegation zone

The photo, which featured Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Kevin Spacey and Meryl Streep among others, had 2.1 million retweets by the end of the awards ceremony. "He gets them nuggs", the account said in response to an inquisitive user. Which, of course, is not even in the neighbourhood of the 18 million he was tasked with rounding up.
How one man's desperate search for chicken nuggets turned into an Internet phenomenon......
"If somehow you pass me Carter, I will come to your house, I will take that TV back, I will take the underwear back and do more, she said".
Wilkerson is closing in on DeGeneres, but nowhere near where he needs to be for a year of free nuggets and apparently a date with a Victoria Secret model.
He started a website where he divulges his deep affections for the breaded bird.
On Tuesday, Wilkerson's plea for free nuggets broke the retweet record, according to Guinness World Records.
