CNN reported May 19 that US intelligence agents intercepted conversations between Russian officials bragging that they could use Mike Flynn, a foreign policy adviser for the Trump campaign and then briefly the national security adviser, to influence Trump.
Still, sources said the Russians claims "could have been exaggerated or even made up". But still, it means the foreign power was interested in meddling with our elections and having some control over the man who is now president. But while Mr Trump may dismiss the leaks as "fake news", Russian Federation seems to be taking them seriously.
Early Tuesday, Trump tweeted "Russian officials must be laughing at the US & how a lame excuse for why the Dems lost the election has taken over the Fake News".
